Ready or not, Christmas is coming!! 4 more sleeps! Today we will open up a gift with a piece of white cloth inside. This cloth represents a robe of righteousness.
When we say "yes" to Jesus we are given this amazing gift- to be able to stand before him "clean and white." Yesterday we talked about how forgiveness is like an eraser- it erases the marks of sin from us so that we are viewed as righteous, or free of guilt and sin. Jesus paid the price for us on the cross so that we can be clothed in His righteousness!
21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
-2 Corinthians 5:21
8 And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.
-Revelation 19:8
